Castello® Danablu has a slightly salty, piquant and spicy taste. The consistency is firm, slightly dry and slightly crumbly. However, the cheese develops from being firm and cutable to creamy and spreadable during the ripening period. As the cheese matures, a light fruity tone develops. It is an exciting cheese on dark bread and a characterful flavoring agent in e.g. sauce, salad and sprinkled on a pizza.
