Chasing Cheeseburger Perfection

A tasty cheeseburger

A tasty cheeseburger is a work of art. Every ingredient has a role to play. Every flavour a purpose. So, when it comes to the cheese – our contribution to your masterpiece – we leave nothing to chance.

Making a cheeseburger is easy. Making a great one takes knowledge, skill, passion – and just the right cheese. With Chasing Cheeseburger Perfection, we want to help you take your burger game to the next level by offering premium cheeses, handpicked for their burger performance, as well as share the knowledge and insights we’ve gathered from countless cheese tests and conversation with cheeseburger chefs around the world. Think of it as a passion project for pros by pros.

The right cheese for the job

At Arla – a farmer-owned dairy cooperative with Nordic roots – we’ve been making quality cheeses for decades. Now, we’ve handpicked the ones best suited for cheeseburgers and put them them through a rigourous testing process to make sure they live up to the demands of professional burger chefs. We’ve tested for taste, smell and look. We’ve tested for meltability and stretchability. We’ve even tested how the cheeses look, feel and taste after 20+ minutes in a hotbox. Just to see how well they would do as a to-go option. It might sound like overkill, but when you chase perfection, slacking off is not really an option.
